How to order

You can order on our website www.beads.co.uk where you will find both an online shop and also an order form. These orders go through a secure server to ensure confidentiality.
For those who use our printed order form please fill in your name and address then give the reference number, size, colour and quantity of items required. It is helpful if you can give a daytime phone number or email address in case of queries.
Orders can be submitted by post, by fax (01704 576181), by phone (01704 575461) or by email orders@beads.co.uk. If you phone outside office hours there is an answer machine. If you wish to collect your order personally, please phone it through beforehand and let us know when you will be coming.

How to pay

Payment must accompany order except for Health Authority and Education Purchase Orders.
We accept VISA/DELTA, MASTERCARD, SWITCH/MAESTRO, SOLO. We need your number, expiry date and valid from date of card, the security code and issue number ( SWITCH only).
Cheques should be made payable to P J Beads. We suggest that you leave your cheque blank in the figures section but marked "not to exceed £x" to allow for small variations in the expected cost as a result of out of stock items etc. Small debits and credits can be carried forward to future orders. We reserve the right to hold orders until the cheque clears.
We accept Postal Orders.

Prices

All prices in £ sterling

We sell both retail and wholesale. Our prices are very competitive and if you buy larger quantities there is usually a discount price. Colours can no longer be mixed to achieve the "10" or "100" rate discounts.
If you send both a retail and wholesale order they can be dispatched together to save on postage but please write them out separately. Any order which does not meet the wholesale criteria will be treated as retail.

Every effort is made to maintain prices but it may be necessary to vary them without notice.

Overseas Customers

We welcome orders from overseas. If you are outside the EEC you will not be charged VAT.
Businesses within the EEC who can provide a VAT registration number will not be charged VAT
All payment must be in £ sterling.

Out of stock items

We try to stock every item in our catalogue all the time. Unfortunately this is not always possible. We will send close substitutes if you indicate when ordering that this is acceptable to you. We can place items on Back Order and send them on to you ( postage free). We will not do this for boxes or items with a value of less than £2.

Returns

We will credit or refund UNUSED items if returned to us within 30 days. Should you require a refund by cheque please send a written request and SAE. Please ensure that anything returned is well packaged in a box or padded envelope. We cannot credit returns which either fail to arrive or are damaged because of poor packaging.
We will replace faulty goods if returned to us within 30 days. Please check all goods before making up jewellery.
We will not accept returns after 30 days.

Our plated items, where relevant, all comply with EEC regulations restricting the use of nickel

Fair trade

We are concerned that nothing we buy should contribute towards exploitation of people or the environment. When buying outside the EEC we buy, where possible, from factories which are regulated and inspected. In Thailand we use workers Co-operatives. We have dealt with many of our suppliers for over twenty years, have visited their premises and know them personally. We use sea transport rather than airfreight.
