Sizzling Hot Orange Necklace

Lets make it!

Measure and cut 4 x 61cm (24") lengths of cord. This includes a little extra for finishing.
Take a crimp bead and thread it onto the end of the cord. Then feed the cord through one of the wire guardians. Place the guardian through one of the loops on one half of the 4 string clasp and feed the cord back through the crimp bead. Holding the end of the cord, position the crimp bead so that there is about 2.5cm (1") left at the end. Pull downwards on the other end of the cord until the two pieces are tight together. Using the flat nose pliers squash the crimp closed.
For the inside string thread the beads on to the cord in the following sequence (slide a couple of the beads over both strands of the cord and cut off the excess). 12 x orange 6mm beads, 16 x orange 8mm beads, 1 x gold plated bead, 1 x disc bead, 1 x gold plated, then 16 x orange 8mm beads and 12 x orange 6mm beads.
Now repeat the process in step 2 for attaching the crimp bead, wire guardian and the other side of the clasp. It is best to keep the clasp closed to ensure the strings correspond with the other side. Feed the cord back through the last two or three beads and cut off any excess.
The second row sequence is 12 x orange 6mm beads, 17 x orange 8mm beads, 1 x gold plated bead, 1 x disc bead, 1 x gold plated bead, 1 x disc bead, 1 x gold plated bead, 17 x orange 8mm beads and 12 x orange 6mm beads.
Repeat process in step 2. Third row sequence is 13 x orange 6mm beads, 18 x orange 8mm beads followed by alternating 4 x gold plated beads and 3 x disc beads. Then 18 x orange 8mm beads and 13 x orange 6mm beads.
Repeat step 2. Bottom row sequence is 15 x orange 6mm beads, 17 x orange 8mm beads. Then alternate, 6 x gold plated beads and 5 x disc beads. Finish the strand with 17 x orange 8mm beads and 15 x orange 6mm beads.
