Christmas Snowflake

Measure and cut a length of 60cm (24”) silver plated wire.
Thread on to the wire 6 glass pearls, positioning them approx. 70mm (3”) from one end of the wire.
Bend the long end of wire round to the beginning of the first pearl and thread through the pearl (making a circle). Pull tight, keeping the pearls positioned 70mm (3”) from the short end of wire.
Taking the long end of wire, thread on a metal bead, a rocaille, a metal bead, 2 rocailles, a pearl, a rocaille, a pearl, a rocaille, a pearl and a rocaille.
Bring the end of the wire round and thread down through the second rocaille (making a figure of eight). Pull taught.
Add a metal bead,a rocaille and a metal bead onto the wire and thread through the pearl beneath it again.
Pass the wire through the next pearl and repeat steps 4 to 6, except after the final rocaille, omit the metal bead and take the end of the wire through the last metal bead of the previous stem then through the opening hole of the centre circle pearl creating a figure of eight over the pearl. Pull taught..
Continue on each centre pearl until the last one. After passing the wire through the centre pearl, also pass it through the first metal bead of the first stem. Continue as usual with the first rocaille.
Feed the wire through the last metal bead of the first stem. Pull taught.
To finish wrap the ends of the wire around the centre hole and feed back through the nearest pearl. Cut off excess wire.
