Amethyst Necklace

Measure and cut a 46cm (18 inch) length of the Illusion Cord, this includes a little extra for finishing.
First tie a loose knot on one end of the cord to stop the beads from coming off. Thread the beads onto the string: 23 x 6mm beads, 1 silver plated bead followed by an 8mm bead. Continue with a silver plated bead followed by an 8mm bead until all of the 8mm beads are threaded. Finish with a silver plated bead and complete the string by threading the remaining 23 x 6mm beads.
Now thread the necklace end onto the cord so that the hook is facing up towards the end. Thread on a crimp bead and at approximately 2.5cm (1 inch) from the end of the cord squeeze the crimp tight with the flat nose pliers so it is unable to move. Take the necklace end up to the end of the cord to cover the crimp. You can cut off the excess cord after the crimp and leave as is, or you may wish to knot it or use some glue to make it more secure. Pull the necklace end against the crimp to double check that it is completely secure. Close the two rounded halves around the crimp. Repeat the process on the other end squeezing the crimp as close to the last bead on the string as possible.
Now to attach the fastening: Take the smallest end of the tag and attach the necklace end using the pliers to close the hook around the tag. Attach the trigger clasp onto the other end and close around the loop.
